Box Tops
A big "Thank You" goes out to everyone who participated in the February Box Tops Contest! We raised another $400 bringing our total for the year to just over $2000. Way to go DVS!!! Keep saving those Box Tops, we will have another fun contest in the Spring!
Monarchs Family Game Night
DVS Family Game night is Friday, February 26th. All tickets will be going home the week of February 15th. If you don't receive your tickets by February 18th, please contact Kim Cyr.
After School Enrichment
A schedule for the After School Enrichment program has been posted on the After School Enrichment page of this website. This years enrichment program will begin March 22 and will run for 3 weeks. All downloadable forms are also available on the After School Enrichment page of this website. We could always use help with this event, so be sure to contact Kristen Chinosi if you would like to get involved!
Turn off the TV Week
Turn off the TV Week will be the week of April 12th. We will need more volunteers to help with the planning of this week. If you are interested in helping, please contact Nicky Puzzo. We are also asking families to donate games for the family game night. The games should be new or lightly used (all pieces, box and instructions available) and age appropriate for K-5th grade. If you would like to donate a game for this event, please email Nicky Puzzo. More information for this event will be available shortly.
Spring Clothing Swap
We are planning on having the Spring Clothing Swap during Turn off the TV Week this year. Dates have not been confirmed yet for this event, but it will be held the week of April 12th. If you would like to donate clothes please contact Rachel Logan. More information will be available shortly.
Shaws Community Rewards
If you haven't registered your Shaws Rewards card online for the Community Rewards program, now is the time to do it! If you don't have a Shaws Rewards Card, you can register for one online or get one next time you shop at Shaws, just ask to sign up. If you have a Shaws Rewards Card, please register it online for the Community Rewards Program so you can start earning money for DVS. Here's how:
- Go to:www.shaws.com/pages/communityrewards.html
- Click on Shoppers login or register with your Rewards Card first.
- Enter your Shaws Rewards Card # and phone #(if you don't have a rewards card you can sign-up online from this page)and click login.
- You will be asked for the Non-Profit organizations that you would like to support community rewards # please enter 49001019875.
All you have to do is shop on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday! Scan your Shaws Rewards Card that has been registered for Community Rewards and that's it! Please spread the word to everyone you know that shops at shaws to register their card for Community Rewards online!
Reflections
All Reflections entries have been turned in and there are some great ones!! The theme this year was: "Beauty is...". We will be announcing the students who will be continuing on to the state level on Wed. January 20.
HELP NEEDED!
We are in need of volunteers to help at a few events that are coming up over the next couple of months:
- After School Enrichment - We will be in need of volunteers to teach classes, and volunteers to monitor enrichment classes.
- Turn off the TV Week - We will be in need of volunteers to help with the planning of this week and also to help out with the different events during this week.
- Staff Appreciation - We are still in need of a committee for Staff Appreciation.
