How you can help
As a parent of a DVS student, there are a number of ways that you can help! Let us count the ways...
Join the PTA!
It's only $5! By becoming a DVS PTA member, you will help support school projects. A strong PTA membership portrays our dedication to our goal of providing cultural and educational excellence at DVS. A portion of your dues also supports the New Hampshire and national PTAs, which provide a collective voice for all children and parents, promoting excellence in education in our schools.
Attend the Meetings!
Attending meetings provides you with an opportunity to:
- Share your ideas with our Principal, teachers, and parents.
- Influence decisions made about our school
- Become more aware of school issues and activities
- Socialize, network, and form friendships with other great parents and staff
- Meetings are the second Wednesday of every month(no meeting in December or June) at 6:30 p.m. in the DVS Library. Free babysitting services are available every meeting in the DVS Art Room across from the Library.
Volunteer
There are always opportunities to volunteer. Please download the 2009/2010 PTA Program Volunteer Opportunities Form. If you have any questions, please contact Kristen Chinosi, PTA Program Volunteer Coordinator.
Ways to help raise money for our school!

Look for the 10cent Box Tops coupon on hundreds of your favorite products from General Mills, Betty Crocker, Totino's, Ziploc, Kleenex,HUGGIES and many more. For a complete list of all box top products, go to the Box Tops website.

Shaws is no longer running their Receipt Rewards Program, they have changed it to a Community Rewards program that requires a shaws rewards card, so PLEASE don't send in your receipts anymore! If you don't have a Shaws Rewards Card, you can register for one online or get one next time you shop at Shaws, just ask to sign up. If you have a Shaws Rewards Card, please register it online for the Community Rewards Program so you can start earning money for DVS. Here's how:

Cartridges for Kids pays CASH for used cell phones and empty inkjet, laser fax and copier cartridges. For more information, go to the Cartridges for kids website.
Shaws Community Rewards
All you have to do is shop on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday! Scan your Shaws Rewards Card that has been registered for Community Rewards and that's it! Please spread the word to everyone you know that shops at shaws to register their card for Community Rewards online!
Purchase participating products in the Hannaford Helps Schools program from September 4 to December 4, 2008.
Deposit the school dollars at Hannaford or turn them in to our school.
DVS will receive 3 School Dollars for every 4 Participating products you purchase.
The school that earns the most school dollars will receive a bonus check of $1000.
