DVS PTA President Letter

Welcome to the DVS PTA web site. Our goal is to provide information on this site that helps parents and students stay in touch with activities and opportunities available at DVS and with our PTA. We hope that this will be a valuable tool for all of our families and that it will increase your participation and involvement in your child's education.

We encourage all families to join the DVS PTA. Why join the PTA? On a state and national level, PTA is the largest children's advocacy organization. It is dedicated to be an advocate for all children. It has a voice in state and national legislation and a network of 6.5 million child advocates. On a local level our PTA works to help all of the students at DVS. Our PTA provides volunteers for the school and financially supports programs for students; field trips; classroom materials; student recognition; a bi-monthly newsletter; and more.

I strongly encourage your support and participation. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact myself or any current Board Member.

Need a 2009-2010 Membership Form ? Download it here. Fill it out and send it in to school with your child in a sealed envelope with PTA Membership written on the front.
